OUR POLICIES- UPDATED JUNE 2009
BELOW ARE OUR POLICIES : PLEASE READ
1) We WILL NOT sell unweaned babies !! Do NOT ask us , the answer will be NO ! Our babies are at least three months before they are weaned, depending on the individual baby and species. We feel any breeds of birds we currantly breed ,the babies are weaned too early mentally and physicaly ,if under three months of age Forced weaning = Problems early on and more so once mature, such as biting/nipping.
2) We do not always have babies available .We are specialized breeders specializing in HIGH QUALITY pet birds . We can not say when we will have babies , we let nature take its course . We offer a waiting list for those interested in a baby and for us to contact you once we have hatchlings available. This is at no cost of course , however if we place you on a waiting list and you find your baby or bird somewhere else ,we ask that you notify us so we can remove you from our list and contact the next person waiting. In the event that you would like the baby, A small deposit is required . Amount varies depending on Bird/Baby.
3) If you are looking for a "deal" or a "cheap" bird or baby , then we are not the aviary for you . Our Prices are FIRM and OUR babies are WORTH IT. Our prices are reputable professional breeder prices, not petstores or backyard breeder prices. We do not offer "discount bin" birds. We do not overbreed our pairs nor do we have the "walmart" Roll Back prices.
We are home full-time with our babies ,pets and flock, This is our day and night job. We love it !
We also do not believe in depreciating any species value by lowering prices ridiculously, Such as Green Cheek Conures at $ 140.00 or less.
4) We offer healthy , happy , outgoing ,healthy babies as pets or in some cases we can offer pairs or singles for future breeders.
5) Our babies are hand fed from 7 days to three weeks until weaned .In rare cases babies are fed within the first week. Weaning times vary on the species and individual baby. In some cases parents feed longer,depending on the species and other avicultural reasons.
6) We will answer all your questions to the best of our knowledge before and after you purchase a bird from us . We have over 15 years hands on experience with small and large parrots .
7) Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE if you the customer backs out of the transaction .
8) We can not guarantee the outcome of your babys personality once he/she reaches maturity or is in your environment. It is up to you to do the research and establish a healthy relationship with your new baby. We can not guarantee the breeding potential of your baby either once matured.
9) We reserve the right to refuse/cancel a sale .
10) We do not show anyone our aviaries or where our breeders are . We are not a zoo or open aviary . We are closed to the public for the safety and health of our breeders . If this bothers you ,we suggest you go elsewhere. Our flock is invaluable to us. We are able to show you a photograph of our pairs if you would like to see the parents of your baby.
11) By Appointment Only. No appointment, No entry . No exceptions!
12) At our discrection, We may ship via Air Canada or WestJet(if you have an account). Shipping must be paid by purchaser Prior to shipping . We can arrange delivery for a gas fee if within a reasonable distance.Or we can suggest an animal taxi service ,at your expense. Gas fee to airport also applies.
13) All birds must be paid in full before you are able to take them home. We do accept payments while babies are being handfed . In the event of a trade , trade will be done once birds are ready to trade(example:weaned), unless other arrangements have been pre-arranged.
14) Please refrain from wearing any perfumes or scented products when viewing any of our birds . If you are wearing perfume, we will not allow you in for your appointment. Perfume, hair and scented products are very harmful to birds.
15) We can only guarantee a sex of a bird/baby if DNA sexed by us. We send all our samples to a lab in Ontario for results. We do not charge extra for DNA sexing of your bird/baby, However the cost of $21.00 including taxes must be paid in full to the lab(We use HealthGene,Vita Tech upon request) ,and is at buyer's expense. Payment is required before we send sample off .
16) All babies purchased from us come with "lifetime" wing and nail clippings, Free Birdy Boarding, Free Behavioural, a "Too Qute Baby Kit " which includes some food, Hatch Certificate, Baby Care Kit, Dna Sample ,if not requested prior, Toy(s) , Discounts on our Playgyms, and Toy Line ,and much more !
17) At any time you are unable to keep your Too Qute baby , We will purchase our baby back from you . We feel we bought them into the world ,its our responsibility to help. We also request we are given the first chance to rehome the bird if that is needed. We do not want one of our babies in Rescue , Santuary , Rehome after rehome situations.
18) We randomly test our flock at least once a year, and/Or babies, Our results have always been Negative for the Four major diseases and very healthy. This alone is worth the extra few dollars to purchase from someone "reputable", as you may pay from backyard, cut throat area competitors prices that do not test. This could end up costing you much more in the long run. Our vet is a Certified Avian Veternarian In Ontario.
Babies purchased from us always have a home with us !
